Gisborne Hearing Association Inc.GisborneInformationThe Gisborne Hearing Association is a non profit organisation providing services and support to people living with hearing loss in the Gisborne community. We provide free hearing tests to people aged 12 and over. This is a simple screening of your hearing which can give an indication of a hearing loss. Our staff can help with minor hearing aid repairs, advice on using hearing aids or assistive listening devices. We give educational talks to the community about noise induced hearing loss, hearing loss in general and communicating with hearing impaired. Annual subscriptions are $20 per person, or $30 for a family. This membership entitles you to discounts off our stock including batteries and amplified telephones. We have just started a loyalty scheme as well, so when you buy 10 packets of batteries you get a free packet. We are your Community Hearing Centre, pop in and visit us today. The Association has 133 members, 3 staff members and a dedicated committee of 10.
